[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]When video of Elon Musk’s plans to speed cars through an underground tunnel emerged, it seemed like a far-off concept. But, pictures tweeted this week by Musk show that it’s quickly becoming a reality.

According to a concept video, the elevator would lower vehicles into the the tunnel where they would ride a high-speed platform at up to 124 mph.
Musk tweeted the day before that The Boring Company officially broke ground on a tunnel stretching from Los Angeles International Airport to Culver City. The company is also reportedly in talks with the city of Chicago for a similar project.
