Two Tesla Model S sedans are now officially in service as police vehicles in Luxembourg.
The cars are all dressed up for busting bad guys with their doors lettered with “POLICE” and their roof topped with an emergency light bar. According to local news site Luxemburger Wort, the department has trained eight officers to operate the Teslas.
Tesla is gaining popularity with police departments all over the world. A police department in Switzerland recently decided to replace its diesel burning patrol cars with the all-electric Tesla Model X P100D. In the U.S., departments in Los Angeles and Denver have also added Teslas to their fleets for both patrol cars and use by non-patrol personnel.
