SpaceX Lofts 10 Satellites for Iridium-8

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]SpaceX successfully launched and landed Friday a used Falcon 9 rocket for its first mission of the year.

The mission was the last of a two-year, eight-launch contract between SpaceX and satellite communications company Iridium. Monday’s mission lifted off from Space Launch Complex 4E at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California and deployed 10 Iridium Next satellites.

The first stage of the Falcon 9 rocket successfully landed seven minutes after liftoff on the droneship “Just Read the Instructions.” The booster was previously used in September for Telstar 18 launch . SpaceX did not attempt to recover the fairing.
