One of the great things about Tesla products is they have the ability to get better over time through the deployment of new software. A great example is a new “Acceleration Boost” upgrade available to Model 3 Dual Motor owners.
The software-enabled performance enhancement will help improve the car’s 0-60 mph times from 4.4 seconds to 3.9 seconds. The feature is available for purchase in a new “Upgrades” section in Tesla’s mobile app.
The half-second speed bump costs $2,000.
TMC members seem to be split on whether they’ll go for the upgrade – some say it’s a no-brainer, while others say their cars are already plenty fast.
