A new video of Giga Shanghai gives us the best look yet at an assembly process that leverages hundreds of robots to build the Model 3.
The video shows images from the entire process – from the body panels being stamped and welded, to interior installation, to paint. It’s incredible to see the automation involved in Tesla’s manufacturing.
The factory in China took form with incredible speed. An empty field became a massive automotive plant in about year. Now, Tesla is reportedly hitting a production capacity of 3,000 cars per week and tracking well toward Tesla’s hopes for the first year of production.
