SpaceX Releases Video of SN6 Test Flight

A new video from SpaceX offers a great view of its recent Starship test hop.

Friday, the SN6 prototype for SpaceX’s Starship program climbed to 150 meters above the company’s Boca Chica, Texas launch complex. The new video shows the barrel shaped rocket launching from afar, as well as video from the rocket itself. When fully built out, Starship will also have a full nose cone and landing legs.

SpaceX is testing its next-generation Raptor engine, which will power Starship. The company hopes the vehicle can one day transport up to 100 people into space. But, SpaceX Chief Executive Elon Musk says there remains some serious testing before Starship is ready for humans.

This was the second test flight of a prototype. The first conducted a similar flight in August.
