Tesla Plans Supercharger Stalls Reserved for Cybertruck

Tesla plans for an upcoming Supercharger station near Pasadena, Calif. include charging stalls designated for the Cybertruck.

TMC member RubberToe came across documents Tesla submitted to the city, which outlines plans for 20 250 kW v3 Superchargers located on the 110 North Freeway.

Screenshots of the presentation posted by TerranApart show that the station will also include six designated chargers for the Cybertruck, likely to account for the larger size of the pickup.

It’s interesting to see Tesla making special accommodations for the hulking truck. Chief Executive Elon Musk has said the company may slightly shrink the size of the production Cybertruck and may build an even smaller version for international markets.

The first Cybertruck’s are expected to roll off the line of Giga Texas in 2021. Musk said at the company’s recent Battery Day that reservations for the truck are more than 500,000.
