SpaceX completed late Friday its 20th cargo mission to the International Space Station. The mission also marked the 50th time the company has landed its Falcon 9 rocket.
SpaceX sent more than 4,500 pounds of supplies and science experiments to ISS inside the company’s Dragon capsule, which will return to Earth in about a month loaded with another 4,000 pounds of cargo. The Dragon used in the mission flew for a third and final time.
A new version of the Dragon capsule, an iteration closer to the design that will aim to carry humans to space, will be used for SpaceX’s next mission. Dragon 2 is expected to fly in the fall.
