New York to Offer New Incentive for EV Buyers

New York is set to launch on April 1 a $2,000 incentive for buyers of zero-emission and plug-in electric hybrid vehicles in an effort to reduce automotive carbon emissions.

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority is currently finalizing the rebate program and making car dealers aware of the program. New York joins a growing number of Northeast states to offer rebates, including neighboring Connecticut and Massachusetts, and nearby Rhode Island and Delaware.
