Hyperloop One Announces 11 Possible Routes

Elon Musk’s vision for high-speed travel via Hyperloop is beginning to show some momentum. Hyperloop One, a company developing the technology, has unveiled 11 independent proposals to build Hyperloop routes throughout the U.S.

The routes were designed by teams competing in the Hyperloop One Global Challenge announced last year, which intended to uncover the world’s most promising Hyperloop corridors. The company says the 11 U.S. teams represent routes that would connect 35 metro areas and 83 million Americans: Las Vegas to Reno in 42 minutes. Chicago to Columbus in 29 minutes. Denver to Boulder in 5 minutes.

Three eventual winners will work closely with Hyperloop One engineering and business development teams to explore project development and financing.

The official announcement is available here. See the 11 winning proposed routes below.
