Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced he will leave President Trump’s White House advisory councils following a decision for the U.S. to withdraw from the Paris Climate Accord.
Musk tweeted his feelings on the decision after Trump held a celebratory press conference, complete with a jazz band in the White House Rose Garden, to announce the move.
Am departing presidential councils. Climate change is real. Leaving Paris is not good for America or the world.

Musk will exit Trump’s economic advisory board, as well as his manufacturing jobs initiative council.
The Paris Agreement, an important part of President Barack Obama’s legacy, provides a framework for countries to adopt clean energy in an attempt to prevent the planet from warming more than 1.5 degrees Celsius above preindustrial levels.
