Tesla will hold a Model 3 launch event on July 28 where the first 30 customers will be presented the keys to their vehicles. CEO Elon Musk is expected to outline the Model 3’s features, battery range and performance at the event.
Musk also tweeted Sunday that Model 3 production is two weeks ahead of schedule. The first Model 3 is expected to roll off the production line this Friday. Musk said production will ramp quickly from 100 cars in August, to 1,500 Model 3s in September, to 20,000 vehicles in December.
