The Model 3’s minimalistic interior has received considerable debate ahead of the vehicle’s launch, but early reviews of the experience are quite good. The large horizontal flatscreen perched in the middle of the dash that received much of the intrigue prior to release is said to be a well-designed information system that’s convenient and intuitive to drivers.
The screen controls all of the car’s functions. There are few knobs and buttons inside the car.
For those who are anxious to play with the interface, UX/UI designer Andrew Goodlad has created a mockup of the Model 3 UI based on recent videos and photos he’s been able to find online. He’s trying to update the demo as new Model 3s hit the roads and additional information becomes available, but the interactive demo offers enough to understand the general layout.
