Tesla plans to store drivers’ settings in the cloud, potentially enabling fleet vehicles to automatically adjust a driver’s preferences for their seat, side mirror, steering wheel settings, and more.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk mentioned the plan in a series of Tweets Sunday.
We are going to move all info and settings to the "cloud" (aka server) so any Tesla you drive in the world automatically adjusts to you

There’s speculation that such a feature is a hint at a new future for car ownership, where Full Self-Driving Tesla’s will power an autonomous ride-sharing fleet known as the “Tesla Network.” Tesla owners could join the network and make money when their car is not in use.
Giving the car the ability to retrieve a user’s preferences from the cloud means that every ride is tailored to that individual, not matter which Tesla they enter across the world.
