The company will also try to land the Falcon 9 on a drone ship in the Pacific Ocean.

Lift off is scheduled for 2:51 p.m. ET from Space Launch Complex 4 East (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. The SpaceX broadcast, which begins 15 minutes prior to launch, is above.

Space X has completed 11 successful missions so far in 2017. Prior, the most SpaceX had ever launched in a year was eight rockets.

According to the mission press kit, FORMOSAT-5 is the first space program that Taiwan’s National Space Organization (NSPO) has taken full responsibility for the design, development and system integration of. The program’s mission is to promote space science experiments and research, to enhance Taiwan’s self-reliant space technology capabilities, and to continue to serve the users of FORMOSAT-2’s global imagery services.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row]
