SpaceX hopes to launch today the United States Air Force’s X-37B experimental space plane, but weather related to Hurricane Irma could interfere with the plan.
The launch is scheduled for between 9:50 a.m. and 2:55 p.m. ET from SpaceX’s LC-39A pad in Florida.
The Air Force has declined for years to say what the 11,000-pound vehicle built by Boeing Co. does. The most recent X-37B mission ended in May after more than 700 days circling the Earth.
