SpaceX Set to Launch Falcon 9 Carrying Koreasat-5A

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]SpaceX is set to launch a Falcon 9 rocket today from Kennedy Space Center in Florida, the company’s 16th of the year. Liftoff is scheduled for 3:34 p.m. ET.

The rocket will be carrying a satellite, Koreasat-5A, which will provide communications bandwidth for Korea and Southern Asia.

If today’s launch is successful, SpaceX will have completed more missions this year than all of 2015 and 2016 combined. SpaceX will also attempt today to land the rocket booster on a drone ships in the Atlantic Ocean, which would be the 19th successful recovery in a row.
