Tesla’s 40-Stall Supercharger and Lounge Open for Business

Tesla’s 40-stall Supercharger station and lounge in Kettleman City, Calif. is officially open for business.

TMC member ucmndd stopped by for a charge and a cup of coffee. A few observations he shared with the community:

WiFi coverage includes the whole facility, even outdoors

The tap is nitro cold brew, not Pliny.

The location will be staffed until 8pm nightly for coffee and swag sales

The vending machines take cards / Apple Pay and have an assortment of snacks and some sandwiches, etc.

There are some restrooms outside the main building, doors have the same keypads used to access the main building.

Both of the HPWC spots are marked handicapped.

I pulled 96 kw for a while, which is basically the fastest I’ve ever seen my 75 charge.

A few photos of the station are below.

Located roughly halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco, the site is now the largest Supercharger station in the U.S. A similar site is currently under construction halfway between Los Angeles and Las Vegas in Baker, Calif.
