TMC Member nullpointer spotted a new configurator for the Model 3 and many hope that it’s a sign that new options are on the way.
Tesla has limited options for the new Model 3 as it tries to ramp production. Currently the Model 3 is only available in its “Long Range Battery” version, which is powered by a 75 kWh pack at a price of $9,000. Interior options are also limited to a $5,000 “Premium” package.
The new configurator lists the standard, and less expensive, battery pack option as available in “early 2018” while an all-wheel-drive version is slated for “Spring 2018.”
Judging from comments on nullpointer’s post, it seems many in line to configure cars are hoping to see more interior options – white interior in particular. See photos of the new configurator below.
