[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]TMC is no stranger to fun car builds leveraging Tesla technology, but here’s an interesting one.

A builder named Jim Belosic has outfitted his 1981 Honda Accord with a Tesla electric motor on the rear wheels and a lithium-ion battery from a Chevy Volt. The car is also outfitted with a wheelie bar, which may be necessary when the car launches from 0-60 mph in 2.7 seconds. [/vc_column_text][vc_video link=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOLzpBzUXZs” video_title=”1″][vc_column_text]The car features components from HSR Motors, a company founded by TMC Member Jason Hughes (wk057). In the video below, the Teslonda gets its first test of an HSR drive unit.[/vc_column_text][vc_video link=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAgVzcFriVk” video_title=”1″][vc_column_text]It’s definitely a fun project with some impressive engineering.
