A builder named Jim Belosic has outfitted his 1981 Honda Accord with a Tesla electric motor on the rear wheels and a lithium-ion battery from a Chevy Volt. The car is also outfitted with a wheelie bar, which may be necessary when the car launches from 0-60 mph in 2.7 seconds.
