Musk Talks Model 3 Woes With CBS

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Tesla CEO Elon Musk gave CBS This Morning a look inside the Model 3 factory as part of an interview with Gayle King.

In a two minute segment that ran Thursday, King asked if customers should be worried about the company’s difficulty producing the Model 3.

“There shouldn’t be a question mark as to whether somebody’s going get their car,” Musk said. “It’s just, yes, you’ll definitely get your car. It’s gonna be six to nine months longer than expected. It’s a six-to-nine-month time shift. That’s literally it. And three of those months have already passed.”

King asked if Musk has a big burden on his shoulders because he’s the reason many people believe in Tesla and its products.

“Well, I hope their faith is not misplaced,” Musk replied.

Thursday’s segment showed a few shots of the Model 3 production line, but King said a segment on Friday morning will be a “first ever look” of the Model 3 being built.

She said Musk will provide information on why the Model 3 has been more difficult to produce than expected. “He has answers for all of this,” King said. “He’s very confident.”
