[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]SpaceX launched and landed Monday a brand new Falcon 9 carrying the Telstar 18 Vantage communications satellite into orbit. It was the fourth mission to use the new “Block 5” version of the rocket.

The rocket lifted off from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida at 12:45 a.m. ET and returned 8 minutes later to land on SpaceX’s East Coast drone ship named “Of Course I Still Love You” parked in the Atlantic Ocean.

SpaceX did not attempt to recover the payload fairing.

Telstar 18V was launched by a Canadian company called Telesat, and will offer broadband communications services to China, Mongolia, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific Ocean region.[/vc_column_text][vc_video link=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Apw3xqwsG1U” video_title=”1″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
