Tesla Chief Executive Elon Musk often responds to owners thoughts on Twitter, so it was not surprising to see him thank an owner for feedback and praise about one of Tesla’s features on Sunday.
You just don’t expect the interaction to involve famed novelist Stephen King offering that he’s “sort of liking” the car’s newfound ability to make fart sounds. The man of words called the app “pretty stupid,” but “also quite amusing.”

Tesla released the fart feature as part of update 2018.48.12.3a4e97c.
“Toilet Humor” is activated by tapping a whoopee cushion icon on Tesla’s Easter Egg Menu. The app is labeled “Emissions Testing Mode” and gives Tesla owners the option for “Fart on Demand” and “Fart on Turn Signal.”
