Tesla Files Trademark for “CYBERTRUCK”

A filing by submitted to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office suggests that Tesla’s upcoming all-electric pickup will be called “Cybertruck.” The company has said the vehicle will be unveiled at an event in Los Angeles on November 21.

Filing includes a request for trademarks on “CYBERTRUCK” and “CYBRTRK.” Additionally, Tesla submitted the truck’s official logo.

The items were submitted on November 6, the same day Tesla Chief Executive Elon Musk announced plans for the truck’s debut.

Musk has said the much-anticipated all-electric pickup is the company’s “best product ever.”

Additionally, Musk has said Tesla aims to build “something more functional than a [Ford] F-150, but a better sports car than a basic [Porsche] 911.”

The “Cybertruck” is expected to have up to 500 miles of range and start at $49,000.
