Tesla’s Wuhan Store Reopens

Tesla has reopened its store in Wuhan, China as the city begins to return to normal after suffering through the wide spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Grace Tao, Vice President of Tesla China, posted to Weibo Monday saying the store at the International Plaza in Wuhan is now open. Tesla was forced to shut the showroom down on February 6.

“Wuhan friends went out to work for the first time in two months,” Tao said on Weibo.

The pandemic hit just as Tesla was ramping up its new factory in Shanghai and deliveries of Model 3 sedans built in China. The company was forced to close Giga Shanghai on January 29 and didn’t reopen until February 10.

Businesses in Wuhan were recently allowed to open after being closed for two months during a quarantine to contain the spread of the virus.
