Tesla Chief Executive Elon Musk says “there’s a lot to talk about” regarding the company’s battery research and development.
Tesla planned to invite investors for a “Battery Day” to present the company’s latest developments, however the company postponed the event amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tesla had previously teased the event as a “Powertrain and Battery Investor Day.” Musk confirmed Monday that the event will primarily focus on batteries, but attendees can ask questions about powertrain development.
There’s a lot to talk about just on the battery front, so, yeah, just that. I guess we could answer some powertrain questions in Q&A.

Musk has said the presentation would include a review of cell chemistry, module and pack, architecture, and the company’s manufacturing road map toward a terawatt-hour per year of production.
While the event was scheduled for this month, it’s now expected to take place in May at the earliest.
