SpaceX has announced its first launch of 2021 is on track for Thursday, January 7th.
The mission is being conducted by Turksat, a state-supported satellite operator in Turkey. The mission was originally scheduled for January 4th.
The Falcon 9 being flown in the mission will be making its fourth flight in just six months, the first to rack up that many missions in such a short timeframe. The weather could be an issue for SpaceX’s first launch of the year, but the company has lift off scheduled for 8:28 pm ET from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
SpaceX is targeting four launches in January and a total of 48 launches in 2021.
