SolarCity CEO and co-founder Lyndon Rive, who became Vice President of Tesla Energy following the acquisition, has decided to leave the company.

Rive, who is also Elon Musk’s cousin, told Reuters he plans to start a new company. He will exit Tesla in June just as the company begins to roll out solar panel products under its own name.
