      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I purchased EAP for my 2020 M3 when it was made available last year. I don’t do a lot of highway driving so I’ve questioned whether it’s been worth it.  Summon was a one time use party trick, and other than indicated lane change I’d never know I’ve got it.<br />
I live in Austin and needed to go on interstate 35 yesterday. “Great - I’ll see that solid line in the middle of the lane when doing Nav on AP...”. Nope! Even on an interstate I only see this pic. What am I not doing right??<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[The only real purpose of the AutoPilot portion of the display is to reassure the driver that the cars sees what you do. The driver should have their eyes on the road anyway and you don’t need to control that area via touch so before the holiday update I was thinking the AP portion of the display should be made smaller. Instead Tesla made it larger and now drivers get a smaller map and have to reach farther for media control etc. It might make more sense when it’s time to reassure unfamiliar...<br />

There was a time when basic Summon was cutting edge and deserved a premium. Keeping the basic forward/backward feature as a function of Smart Summon makes it seem like a premium feature, but basic Summon no longer is. Even Hyundai includes a similar feature in its cars: Remote Smart Parking Assist.<br />

TLDR; Why does Tesla disables it’s “safety” features after they’re ignored a few times; isn’t that unsafe?<br />

Being in NYC there are a ton of potholes even on the highways; So to avoid the ones I’m aware of, I’ll hug either side of the lane without departing that lane which activates lane departure warning and sometimes steering correction, which is expected and I’m glad...<br />

When I purchased the FSD, the surface street AP function was listed as coming end of 2020. But as usual, it never came. I was hoping that with the $10k price hike, we should be seeing the FSD release soon but it&#039;s been awhile since the price increase but still no sight of the release.<br />
