What I really want is just  dual motor 300 mile range CT with the option to rent a 100kwh battery pack at my local Tesla service center for a week of camping.<br />

My initial thoughts were the 75 kW is actually ~5 powerwalls plus a basic truck that I could combine with my 11,655 PV array.<br />
Legally I cannot disconnect from the grid, but hurricane Irma caused &gt;5 days no electric.<br />
My minimum electric bill is $21.69<br />
If I buy electricity at night it’s 8.9cents per kWh<br />
If I sell the same electricity it’s 2.585cents per kWh<br />
I make ~190% of my needs<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I utilize my truck as a truck,  I tow a boat, bring home tons of material  (Literally tons).  I am extremely interested in the cyber truck in the longest range possible. <br />
Currently towing my bass boat on a 300 mile trip I&#039;m getting roughly 12.5 MPG.  about 2/3 of my normal millage.  You have to assume the same loss of efficiency will happen as efficiency is power source neutral.  So a 500 mile unloaded capacity cyber truck will get about 333 miles towing.  That gets me to the back woods...<br />

The chart presented, if accurate, would indicate that the 4680 cells should take almost no time to fully charge.  If that is the case, the bottleneck will move to the charging infrastructure itself and the amount of energy it can transfer.    The fact that the CyberTruck and the Semi would be the only vehicles (initially, at least) to receive the new cell...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I think 120kWh is the minimum for a &quot;grocery getter&quot; or &quot;Home Depot runner&quot; because then it should have around 250 mile highway range. And I think this will be the base battery size.<br />

If someone wants to tow around their camper though, I think that a 250kWh pack will be required since consumption will be around 1,000Wh/mile while towing. The unladen range (non-towing) range of this version will likely be over 500 highway miles. <br />

I know the cars have a 12 volt battery for computer voltage that is charged off the battery bank, and I know Tesla does not recommend using it for jump starting. But trucks need to do that.<br />

Towing a camper or trailer with electric brakes requires 12 V. to charge the trailer battery for trailer brake breakaway switch, and normally...<br />
