I can use the 12 volt cigarette lighter plug but it powers down when the car is off. I am looking for a place to tap 12 volts that is not switched. I noticed the power seats are fused at 30 amps and I was thinking since you rarely move the seat that would be a good source of power. Anyone have any thoughts on this.
My findings: the 2015-18 Model S has 2 fuse Boxes one in upper part of the frunk To access the box, you need to remove the plastic piece right below the windshield:

Hi,

I'm installing a built in radar detector to my Model S and am looking to tap the equivalent of switched (ignition on) power in the cabin. Has anyone done something similar? I don't want to do an always-on tap in case my RD doesn't auto-shut-off after inactivity. Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks
