I get back to my car and watch the couple sentry notifications. Nothing out of the ordinary, except one kid, who peels into the spot next to me. Swings open his door, looks in my window, turns around and walks towards the store. As he does, he tries to yank out the charger from my car.  This wasn&#039;t another EV owner trying to juice their car up either, just an idiot....<br />

I just saw some Electrify America (the VW diesel-gate funded charging stations) pop up on Plugshare.  I&#039;m happy to see another &#039;serious&#039; fast charging network - the more the merrier in helping get EVs adopted, I figure, even if the supercharger network is likely all I&#039;ll ever need.<br />

Anyways, today I brought the X to supercharge to 100% (from 3%). After 2 hours, it stopped automatically at 204 mi (95%) even though it can go up to 217 mi. It was saying 20 minutes remaining and all of a sudden it said &quot;charging complete&quot;. I had stepped out since I figured I had some time but when I got the alert I jet back to the car only to realize it had prematurely stopped 13 minutes ago...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[We were one of the FIRST Tesla Destination charging locations in Wisconsin(Before it was even a program!), and THE First Hotel/Motel/Resort in Wisconsin to have dedicated EV Charging (Early 2000&#039;s!).<br />
<br />
   As such, we have/had some of the oldest (Early Production) HPWC&#039;s Tesla produced. They have been rock solid for all these years and one still is (The second was stolen around 2017, cut right off the wall). The one we still have works flawless for me, all the way up to 80 amps on my 2016...<br />

The one BUT to this statement is finding chargers when traveling.  Hotels and cities really need to step up their game and expand charging capacity.  I’ve found the average large hotel may have two chargers available.  Your average shopping center may have 2-5 maximum.<br />

We were playing with location ideas on where to mount it in the garage.  I originally thought placing it on the wall shared with the house interior would be ideal. Hi everyone.  Normally, we plan for 80% utilization for a given circuit.  If you have a 40A circuit, you can charge at 32A for example.  50A can charge at 40A, and 60A can charge at 48A.  You get the idea.<br />

I have a dedicated 60A circuit running 5 feet with #6 wire.  It can easily handle the max charge rate of my model Y at 48A.  This issues is that I have a 50A 14-50 plug in line. <br />
