If it's a squeaking type of noise, mine was caused by the two back seats rubbing against each other. I "fixed" that by setting the recline of the two back seats at different levels.

I take mine to the drive through car wash. No cracked roof yet.

I have them in SoCal. Cheap, easy to install, and you'd be surprised how dirty the side of the car gets without them.

I know outward visibility isn't compromised, but does the sunshade act as a privacy filter when someone is trying to look in? Right now, I'm just throwing a beach blanket over my stuff.
