I got HW 4.0 but NO FSD Beta

I hope you are right but no one has any version of FSD beta that is working on HW4, which was launched 3 months ago. Do we have a timeline for this? We don’t so we both speculate, and again I hope I’m wrong.

Do any HW4 Vehicles have FSD Beta activated ?

Fsd beta was a notable improvement for highway driving few months ago (single stack), if you ‘upgrade’ now to HW4 you’re back to a software stack that has not improved in 4-5 years, phantom breaking included. It’s a notable regression, let alone the rest that does not work (autopark, smart...

Do any HW4 Vehicles have FSD Beta activated ?

Yeah too late for me - took delivery of 2 new MY but now regretting it. Back to 4 years old Navigate on Autopilot which sucks at this point. It’s not just camera resolutions but also their angles that are different, so I’m afraid they don’t even have anything to feed the training data for HW4 at...

We can kiss working FSD beta on HW4 good bye… won’t be seeing anything this year

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Also would have sold a few days ago to have time to move money around… Sounds like a minor factor if any.

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

They must have rearranged the modules to allow for better cooling and higher output (maybe higher voltage) as well as improving the polar moment of inertia by bringing more weight in the center of the pack (has a big effect on handling particularly on the track)... Yes it may mean slightly less...

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

Well, then let’s count the $200M cost linked to S/X refresh with zero income as a one time item as well, which negates almost exactly the BTC & Reg Credit lines...

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

If the only bottleneck was yoke vs wheel they would have shipped everything with steering wheels and change them later. I’m speculating there are other issues probably in the supply chain that does not allow significant production yet. One could be that super duper new MCU with hard to procure...

Refreshed “2021” Model S waiting room

Worst case scenario the manual is available on the screen at delivery... and in paper version in the glovebox.

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

Prior to retooling S/X lines were only running 1 shift. If they fixed the ‘many details’ nothing stops them to bring a second one to speed up production if the supply chain is in place and the manufacturing steps well oiled... They would do that if they can deliver significant amount before end...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Not that I can recall but order is relatively recent (early Nov this year). Exciting and puzzling at the same time... I’m still betting on interior/exterior refresh, but not yet Plaid. Why would you say ‘end 2021’ so close to the actual launch? On the other hand, yes Y got there 6 months early...
