    New Model 3 SR owner

Going on 2 years with my rwd Sr+. Minimal problems. Mobile charge cable replaced under warranty at my house. Cruise control recently fixed at service center under warranty. Mostly charge at home up to 90% using mobile charge cable and 14-50 outlet. Some supercharger use on long trips. Can easily...

Swapped my winter tires for summer ones. When updating the tire pressure monitor I was pleased to see an option to select my OEM tires and wheels with the Aero Wheel Caps. The Tesla image on the car monitor and phone app were updated to show this specific wheel combo. Small thing but cool. No my...

Confused between rear wheel vs long range

I'm satisfied after over a year with my SR+ in a cold climate. Winter tires add confidence in snow. No prob with city driving. Long trips could use more range in cold weather when range is reduced but not worth $10k for me.

Thoughts from current SR / SR+ / RWD owners

I had my 2021 sr+ through a Wisconsin winter and am satisfied with control on snow and ice. However, I did add winter tires and wheels from Tire Rack. They were 18x8.5 MSW Type 73 GLS GREY wheels, TPS sensors and 235/45R-18 Pirelli Winter Sottozero 3 XL tires. Would have bought the Tesla winter...

14-50 on 100 amp breaker? Ok to use?

I added a 14-50 outlet to the 100 amp panel of my house. The outlet does have its own breaker. I am using a mobile connector. It would be wise to protect the connector from rain since it has holes on its side. A plastic bag over the connector would help. I have a permanent box over the 14-50...

Pressed "park" on accident while driving on the highway. Is my car ok?

I did this too as I drove my Tesla home fresh from the dealer. The car was smart enough to not stop on the freeway.

Pretty close. Elmside Circle Park. I'm switching summer stock wheels/tires for winter wheels/tires by myself for the first time. Warm weather is finally here,!

Intermittent Charging with Mobile Connector Fixed

Are you thinking the weight of the mobile connector may pull the 14-50 adaptor away from the contacts? Perhaps a heavy duty rubber band could be used to pull the connector towards the adaptor and take off some of the load.

Intermittent Charging with Mobile Connector Fixed

Charging my Model 3 SR+ at home using the mobile connector which came with the car. It is plugged into an outdoor 14-50 outlet on the garage. After about 9 months I started getting occasional interrupted charging errors. Finally arranged for a mobile service appointment. They diagnosed it...

    Tesla on a treadmill

If you believe in science, the friction losses and regenerative energy losses charging the batteries would gradually deplete the batteries.

No garage - living through winter

I have a 14-50 outlet on my garage to preheat the interior and battery. Winter with my sr+ has been fine.
