Tesla: Highlights from our upcoming Spring Release below

I'll trade my AMD chip with someone's Intel chip if it means I can stay on 2023.44.1 forever

Looking for a source that lists update file sizes

I received the update over LTE twice within the past week. Confirmed this by doing a reinstall of 2023.44.1 in the service menu to clear the new update download files and waking up the following morning with 2024.3.10 downloaded again via LTE.

    Once again sc**wed by Tesla

Cars depreciate and technology gets cheaper over time. It is what it is. I don’t see any wrongdoing by Tesla here IMO.

Autopilot is useless on non-highway roads.

If you’re gonna buy a Corolla, buy one that is compatible with CommaAI OpenPilot. OP is 10x better than TSS and will give you the hands free driving you are seeking. That being said, I drove several OP compatible Toyotas and Hondas and the droning engine sound was extremely annoying on long...

Any way to stop the schedule update box from popping up on the screen?

Do you happen to remember if any of those forced LTE downloads were "recall updates"? I'm dodging the recall update by sticking to 2023.44.1 and it would be awesome if the popups went away after 2 weeks or so :D

Any way to stop the schedule update box from popping up on the screen?

In a bizarre (and somewhat unfortunate) turn of events, Tesla is now forcing the update to download over LTE and the reinstall software option within the service menu only delays the LTE download for a few hours. They haven’t forced the install yet though, but the popups are annoying as hell.

Tesla recalls 2 million vehicles to limit use of Autopilot

I did that last night and it made the downloaded update files go away…. and woke up this morning to the new update downloaded via LTE yet again 🙃 It looks like Tesla is starting to push the recall “fix” aggressively. I’m hoping that by ignoring the “install update” popups for a few weeks that...

Tesla recalls 2 million vehicles to limit use of Autopilot

This is the time to admit I was wrong... Woke up this morning to a notification in the Tesla app that I have an update ready to install. Opened the app and there it was, already downloaded even though the WiFi hasn't been connected for months. It must have downloaded over LTE overnight 😑

    2024.3.10 (FSD 12.3.3) Broke my 22MY

If the car worked before the update but constantly restarts itself after installing the update, it would be fair to blame the update for the issues

All US Cars capable of FSD will be enable for one month trial this week

There's people on this forum still driving around on 2022.x.x firmware versions. I'm disconnected from WiFi and have no plans on updating the firmware anytime soon.

    2024.3.10 (FSD 12.3.3) Broke my 22MY

I wonder who would be on the hook if a Tesla approved and recommended software update causes damage to an out of warranty vehicle. This isn't the first time someone reported that a software update bricked their Tesla.

All US Cars capable of FSD will be enable for one month trial this week

Not the OP but sticking to 2023.44.1 as well for a few reasons: I refuse to let a vehicle I paid for ban me from AP after "5 strikes" that can include system glitches AP on city streets nags a lot more on all the post NHTSA recall versions (anything after 2023.44.1) And that's about it. I'm...

All US Cars capable of FSD will be enable for one month trial this week

Not gonna fall for it. I'm perfectly happy with AP for my driving style and FSD would actually be a downgrade in some cases (no scroll wheel trick, mandatory use of cabin camera, 5 strikes, etc)

New AutoPilot is horrible after update

The CANBUS module only works on the 3/Y but they also sell the TSL1/TSL2 modules (compatible with the S/X) that connect behind the scroll wheel inside the steering wheel. The only issue with the TSL1/2 modules is they require airbag and steering wheel removal, which most including myself aren't...

Tesla recalls 2 million vehicles to limit use of Autopilot

Chances are if you received a download over LTE while travelling, what actually happened is your vehicle connected to Tesla's wifi automatically at a supercharger and downloaded the update. I saw this happen firsthand in New Jersey a few months ago.
