i had reformatted the drive in FAT32 and then put the music MP3's and MP4's back onto the drive. Same result.

I formatted my usb drive with FAT32 and it is not recognized by the MCU

Is there a specific type/brand/size of drive allowed?

Yep, same problem here. Model S with MCU1. Update last night, no recogition of the USB today.

Thanks, 2017 Model S. MCU1. I was on this tread and tried to split my drive into two partitions, but it does not seem to work.

Most files are MP3, and some are MP4A, however, the car is not showing the USB option at all.

ok, thanks, the original advice was the 16GB was more than sufficient. The question is however, why is the music not showing up at all?

Here is my screenshot. All of the music is in folders and are MP3 files. The USB has worked in the car since I purchased it in 2017.

I have followed all of the steps, and my 32GB drive looks good, however, when I plug it in the car, I do not get the USB icon in the audio section. Only radio, streaming, etc. I have also rebooted the car. Suggestions?
