    EV.Energy app

I have used the EV.Energy app for about 4 years when I first moved to an EV. I still use it when we charge my wife’s EV but take it out of ‘smart’ mode when I’m charging the Tesla and let IO do it’s thing.

    Apple Music/Spotify- Wi-Fi vs Connectivity

From what I can read, the bit rates using Premium Connectivity for the Music apps are between 100 and 150 in the car. If you tether from your phone so the Tesla music apps use wifi rather than LTE, does anybody know if the bit rate/quality improves

    Stick on vinyl number plates

I’m not keen on a stick on plate but so want to remove the massive plate hanger at the front. I suspect an acrylic plate won’t handle the curves at the front of a MY but has anyone successfully fitted an aluminium plate (not the chavvy printed plates, the smooth aluminium plates that look like...

I think the issue with this is that the LFP battery is suggested to be charged to 100% at least weekly for calibration. 👍🏻

Any update on this? I got my new Model Y last week and every time I get in the car, my iPhone volume is changed to zero.

Wiki Everything you wanted to know about Intelligent Octopus But Were Afraid To Ask

I’m new to IO and want to give a bit of feedback to other newbies. My schedule was set up to be ready by 10:00 today in the app and the planned charge I was given was due to finish at 08:30. At 08:30 it stopped charging (as per the plan) but the car wasn’t fully charged. The Octopus app...

    Navigation and energy consumption

When I use the navigation, does it use my typical driving to base the predicted consumption or does it use the average Tesla MY consumption. For example, if I always drive at 60MPH on the motorway vs 70MPH, does the computer ‘learn’ this and assume I’ll drive at 60MPH and therefore base my...

Wiki Everything you wanted to know about Intelligent Octopus But Were Afraid To Ask

I’m new to IO and my schedule for tonight finishes at 07:30. Provided I leave the car plugged in, that means the whole house gets cheap electricity until 07:30 doesn’t it? What happens if the car is fully charged by say by 6:30. Do I still get cheap rate for the rest of the house until 07:30...

    Model Y RWD and ABRP

I’ll answer my own question, it isn’t that car. More details here on ABRP reviewing of to add this car or not. https://abrp.upvoty.com/b/add-a-vehicle/tesla-model-y-rwd/

    Model Y RWD and ABRP

Hi, I’m lead to believe that the MY RWD is a 60kwh pack but that’s not listed in A Better Route Planner. They list a 60kwh for the M3 though…. Should I be using this version? Thanks

15.5V battery and 12V PD laptop charger

Hi, My old car has a standard 12V battery and I charge my laptop by using a 12V PD 65W charger (USB-C) I get a new Model Y on Thursday and have just read that they are 15.5V. Does anyone know of a good PD charger that will plug into the 15.5V plug and power a laptop? Thanks.

Is the MY RWD motor the same as the rear motor in the LR?

As per the title, is the motor in the RWD the same as the rear motor in the LR? So my question is in normal driving, they’ll have the same efficiency and driving characteristics. It’s only when you press on that the front motor kicks in and gives additional power and traction. Thanks in advance.
