My Experience With EAP Suggests Not Only Won't FSD Go Up In Price, It's Going To Go Down

^This!^ FSD is well known to be a FUTURE capability that is NOT currently fully complete. To say FSD isn’t worth the price “just for stopping at lights and signs” is judging it based only on its current capabilities, which are not complete. The price we all have the option of paying for FSD...

Your helpful guide to the Tesla Model 3 parking brake

I participated in a different thread a long time ago on this same topic. The consensus of that thread (which I didn't search and find to link here) was that the long press of the parking brake button engages the parking brake "tighter" than the normal short press parking brake. It was generally...

NoA is worthless, Autopilot is essentially unimproved from 2016-2017, and everybody has caught up.

No confirmation lane changes are definitely released in the US. It does require you to have your hand on the wheel right at the beginning of the maneuver though, otherwise it won't do it. But you don't have to confirm with a stalk. You can enable or disable this in settings.

NoA is worthless, Autopilot is essentially unimproved from 2016-2017, and everybody has caught up.

Not a thread hijack. I've seen a few posts about appointments for getting the HW3 computer. Has Tesla reached out to you for this or are you all "requesting" it from them? I was under the understanding they are going to reach out to us when it's time.

NoA is worthless, Autopilot is essentially unimproved from 2016-2017, and everybody has caught up.

“A delayed game is eventually good. A bad game is bad forever.” Shigeru Miyamoto - game producer at Nintendo. This quote references the importance of allowing games the necessary time to complete development sufficiently rather than rushing the process in order to meet an overly ambitious...

NoA is worthless, Autopilot is essentially unimproved from 2016-2017, and everybody has caught up.

I have a 2018 Model 3 with AP2.5. Commute 60 miles one way weekly, 90% highway. I'll use the above questions to frame my experience. I have had lane changes abort, mostly manually commanded changes, and maybe once from NOA commanded change. All for identifiable reasons (missing lane markings or...

Steering Wheel Torque Sensor Wearing Out?

Yeah I know about that. This was just in reference to the steering torque.

Steering Wheel Torque Sensor Wearing Out?

Old thread at this point, but recently it has seemed like it's possible that it's not more torque required, but perhaps it has to detect the torque for a longer amount of time. If that's true, I can see how it would APPEAR that it requires more torque. I've tried to test it where I'll put a...

Steering Wheel Torque Sensor Wearing Out?

My Model 3 is a LR RWD built in June 2018. VIN 46xxx. 16,000 miles on it now and it SEEMS to me that the amount of torque required for the steering wheel sensor to "detect" my hand is higher than it was in the past. A few notes: I tend to rest my left hand LIGHTLY on the left side of the...

    Low-tech Tesla tennis ball

I have a device attached to my garage door opener called a “Genie control module”. It has two lasers (for two cars) attached to the ceiling on pivoting mounts. The control module activates the lasers for about a minute whenever the garage door motor moves. The pivoting mounts for the lasers...

    Can the Model Y tow?

What is the weight of that trailer? Regarding Elon’s comment about the truck being able to tow at least as much as an F-150, makes me think they aren’t releasing a number (for it and Model Y) because they have something in the works that makes them think they will be able to improve it between...

    Can the Model Y tow?

I submitted this question to be voted on and possibly answered in the stockholder meeting. Say Upvote it if you have shares and maybe we get an answer.

Strategies for Powerwalls and Utility Demand Plans

Ahh, sounds like it is software tailored to your specific situation. So basically the AC portion is a more complex/custom IFTTT type solution that interfaces with an existing smart thermostat to adjust temperatures when certain conditions exist regarding peak demand usage (among other things)...

Strategies for Powerwalls and Utility Demand Plans

What kind of software do you have that can adjust your AC unit, and what kind of thermostat is on that AC unit!? I’d like some more control over my AC but never heard of anything like this before.

Tesla Model 3 is crushing competition

I’m no car company expert but it seems reasonably logical that Tesla could have known the Model Y would be more successful and wanted to make the Model 3 first to get most of the bugs worked out so when the Y starts being delivered it is more polished. Plus the Model 3 is a little cheaper.
