DIY Repair Curb Rash on my 21" Uberturbine Wheel.

Thanks! All I used was the paint (after some sanding prep). Started with a few coats on the damaged area (taped off), then expanded it to cover the 1-2 spokes around. Now that it's been a few days seeing in different lighting outside, I think it's a very close match. It's not perfect, but that...

DIY Repair Curb Rash on my 21" Uberturbine Wheel.

Found this thread recently but couldn't find that specific colour. Instead, this was on the shelf and turned out to be a fairly close match ("Black Stainless Steel"): Universal | Metallic Spray Paint | Rust-Oleum It's slightly less black than the original wheel paint, but after blending it...

Video - Tesla Model 3 Cold Weather Charging Issue

I had what seems like a similar issue the other day. I was charging at a public charger with a J1772 adapter. It was around -8C, was charging for about 5 hours. When I went to leave, the adapter was stuck locked in (couldn't get it to release via app or car controls). I removed the J1772...

    Tire change in Ottawa

I just recently had a set of Nokian winter tires purchased and installed at Kal Tire. I don’t have any of the aftermarket jack pads. They were able to lift the car just fine on the factory jacking points. Happy with their service.

Who has lost regen with winter tires?

He didn't have an answer for me, but to let him know if I have issues when I get my winters on. As others have stated in this thread, seems that Tesla is collecting data and working on a solution (hopefully).

Who has lost regen with winter tires?

I had a Tesla mobile service tech working on my car recently to replace some parts. I talked to him a bit about this issue, if he's seen it and what he knows. Essentially what he told me was that the control system for the regen is very sensitive, and it is calibrated from the factory using the...

    Chip in windshield

I have an early version of this product, a windshield protection film, on another car and I highly recommend it. I got it because I take that car to the track and I wanted protection from rock/debris when following other cars on track. I am considering this for my Model 3 as well: ExoShield |...

    Ottawa Model 3

FYI. I have a Tesla HPWC wired to a 60A circuit. This is a screenshot of the app with my Model 3 connected and charging.

    Ottawa Model 3

278XX here. Interesting! I really hope you don't have the same issue as me. I did receive a fairly new Model S 100D as a loaner so at least that's the silver lining in all this. Apparently this is the longest Tesla Montreal has kept a Model 3 for.

    Ottawa Model 3

I think what is happening with my car must be unusual, as I don't think Tesla HQ gets involved unless it's something they haven't really seen much before. At this point it sounds like Fremont is mostly directing things with my car, giving instructions to Montreal. Some good news though, I did...

    Ottawa Model 3

Yes, sounds like they will send it back to me. I haven't been offered a loaner by them, but I am going to request one today and seems like they will accommodate although they may just give me a car (non-electric) from Enterprise or similar. For me that is the only disappointing part of their...

    Ottawa Model 3

Hello! Unfortunately you will most likely have to visit the service centre, but give them a call and speak with them directly about it. Would be good to know what your experience with them is. My situation seemed quite serious in that not only was regen braking disabled (along with practically...

Ontario EV Rebates Cancelled July 11, 2018

Just wondering if anyone here has received the incentive/rebate recently, and how long ago did you apply? Thanks.

    Ottawa Model 3

Thanks, me too! More updates and information from the service centre would be nice, but I know they are working on it and honestly they are probably pretty swamped over there. Not an ideal situation but not a lot I can do but wait. I haven't pressed them for a loaner yet, they unfortunately did...
