    S3XY buttons at Abstract Ocean

It flat out does not work at all on my Yoke steering Model S Plaid (Dec 2021). Same with unlock / toggle locks.

    S3XY buttons at Abstract Ocean

Thanks for the update @dimitar.ns - I was coming here to mention how the Autopilot hands on was not working right on my Model S Plaid, but see it's a known issue and is being worked on. A different issue I had was unlocking my car. I can LOCK it with the buttons, but Toggle / Unlock never seems...

    Supercharger - Deptford NJ

We just lost power at 8:45 and 10:00 am in Haddon Heights, not far from Deptford. Maybe that effected it? I’m showing cars are charging there right now in my Tesla App…

    12V Access: Model S 2021 Refresh

I think the "12V" (we know its like 16V) battery itself is only like ~100 watt-hours (don't quote me on that, but it's not much... about the same as a small motorcycle battery). So pulling 1400 watts is good to know that the C-rating will allow it, and then at some point the car's HV pack has to...

    12V Access: Model S 2021 Refresh

Agreed. Maybe in a future version of the car (does not help us though) considering competition is heating up and others (Ford, Rivian) have built in high-amperage 110v outlets (some have 240V outlets too!) and others (Ionic, Ford, etc) have reverse-charging capability. I really wanted 1500W...

    12V Access: Model S 2021 Refresh

I tapped into negative at an existing vehicle ground location (shown in photo) and for 12V+ I tapped into the car's 12V jump point my soldering a flat metal connector to the end of my wire and then using the OEM protective cap to hold it in place on the jump post. It's not my favorite part of...

    12V Access: Model S 2021 Refresh

Interesting. Hey — I used my XT60 this past weekend to charge up my 300wh battery pack / inverter / backup / charger pack. It pulled up to about 120 watts from the XT60 while the car was parked and sentry mode was on (car never fully went to sleep since Sentry was on). No complaints from the...

    12V Access: Model S 2021 Refresh

I'd be interested to know what gauge wire they have going to that 12V power outlet!

    12V Access: Model S 2021 Refresh

I have not tried any others, no. My understanding that basically everything was monitored by the car (after all, there are no fuses) and if the draw is outside what the car expects, it will "complain" / shut down that circuit / chaos ensues / etc. I wanted to pull power from the "Penthouse" —...

    12V Access: Model S 2021 Refresh

I did exactly that — an XT60 I mounted in my front trunk to charge some small batteries, power a small inverter, etc... nothing more than a few hundred watts or the car will get upset with the unknown / unexpected current draw. I used 12 gauge wire coming right from the lithium "12V" battery...

    Early life inverter failure

Was the car in undrivable? Normally if something like this happens it should warn us and we can at least “drive it home” - but need to schedule a service appointment right away. For whatever reason it seems we are having the pyro fuse blow when our inverters fail rendering the car totally...

2021 Refresh: Model S (and X?) Changes to 12v System

Under the rear seat is just empty — the Penthouse on the Model S is up front and not at the rear of the pack under the back seats like in the Model 3/Y. That 180W — do you mean from the "cigarette lighter"? That's a start, but I'm looking for more like 1400-ish Watts. ...and pulling that much...

    Early life inverter failure

Just found this thread because it just happened to me. Front drive unit inverter failure on an October built 2021 Model S Plaid. Sat in parked car, stepped on brake and it blew the pyro fuse and the car shut down. Never got it out of the driveway. About 6,000 miles on it.

2021 Refresh: Model S (and X?) Changes to 12v System

I too am interested in this to charge my large drone batteries. I currently use jumper cables to hook up to a regular 12v car battery (ICE cars) but am looking for something than can handle high amperage on the Tesla Model S Refresh too!

Model S refresh - Reduced Front Radar Visibility

Holy smokes that is worse than I thought. This was Cherry Hill that did this? And what's the status of Autosteer/TACC — that part all fixed at least?
