Have delivery scheduled this week, may have to cancel. Possible transfer?

Just wanted to provide an update for clarity. Was told by my delivery manager that Tesla will not allow this. They do not want to set a precedent where someone can "jump the queue." I understand that they don't want anyone gaming the system, but they should look at the circumstances. I am on...

Have delivery scheduled this week, may have to cancel. Possible transfer?

I have an X that has been delivered to the SC in Rockville and is being prepped. Due to a personal situation, I may not be able to take delivery. I would rather not lose my $5k deposit, so would be open to transfer my order to someone else. Not looking to make money, just want my deposit back...

Track your Tesla while it's on the boat

Ok, my mind works a little differently. I read the thread title and was imagining racing your car around the boat. Maybe on the NurBoatRing.

    Did I just take someone's Reservation #?

As a point of reference, I reserved in early October and my number is 2000 lower than yours, so around 500 or so reservations per month.

Traction in snow on summer performance tires

Possibly. Tried to reproduce it today but couldn't find enough snow on the road.

Traction in snow on summer performance tires

Winter tires definitely make a difference, but as dsm363 says, only using two would produce some wonky results. I had blizzaks on my old Boxster, and they were great, until we had an 80 degree day in March, before I put the summers back on.

Traction in snow on summer performance tires

Appreciate the comments. I agree that driving schools are almost always helpful, and I have been thru some, and have autocrossed a bit as well. Also agree, that a LSD is very useful. To clarify, the lurching I referred to, was with T/C on. I have also said (multiple times now) that summer...

Traction in snow on summer performance tires

Having owned 6 Audi quattro's, I am very familiar with the AWD benefits, and already stated that the tires were not the right ones for the job. Regardless of which tires are on the car, it should not lurch back and forth when coasting. I am more concerned about the non-normal behavior. Thanks...

Traction in snow on summer performance tires

Of course I understand that I am not using the appropriate tires. What I failed to convey in my post was that the car acted very unusually. When trying to drive straight on a flat road, it kept pulling to one side, as if only one wheel was driven. I put the regen on low, and when coasting...

Traction in snow on summer performance tires

I am reposting most of this from the Mid-Atlantic sub forum. I have the summer performance 21s and today was awful. We had a couple of inches of snow but the car was very erratic. I got up a hill ok, but couldn't get the car moving after stopping at a light. Flat road, the car would only go...

Snow tires in DC: Yay or nay?

I have the summer performance 21s and today was awful. I got up a hill ok, but couldn't get the car moving after stopping at a light. Flat road, the car would only go sideways. I eventually got it far enough off the road to be safe, but sat there for about 10 minutes rocking it back and...

    Door handles more responsive?

I was sitting in my car during the update to 6.0. I did notice that the door handles extended sequentially (not all at once) during the update. Thought that was *interesting*.
