I find it pretty ridiculous that we're forced to pay $1500 to receive basic functionality paid for
1. Frequent reboots and problems not being fixed because of a design failure
2. Paying for unlimited connectivity which is being revoked by 3G cutting service
Did he mention that, if it had to be towed to the service center, if Tesla would cover that?
It doesn't feel legal to me that they say that you can pay for an upgrade and then they brick your car and charge you more.
I'd agree if my 2013 had some of the more awesome features that MCU2 offers such as dash cam; however, short of having Netflix and games there isn't much additional aside from it not being _broken_ that would justify the $2k cost
Has anyone in California done this yet and had their unit not work? Does the SC refund you in that case? Debating between getting the MCU upgrade or just getting the LTE retrofit since its significantly cheaper.
