Tesla wants to physically disable Front Radar in my 2022 Model S for Tesla Vision

Same here. Regularly drive this and a newer AP 3.0 car. The vision+radar FW has less phantom braking, follow distance of 1 (even though it’s now more than AP 2.5 follow distance of 1), and 90 mph limit.

Suspension rattling sound turned out to be a loose bolt!

For safety issues such as this, you need to either drop your car at a SC without an appointment, and refuse to leave before they look at it, or use the app to tow your car to a SC. Then again, in my case, they looked at it and failed to spot it…

Model 3 : control arm disengaging

Glad you’re alive. Seems to be a common issue, unfortunately. My car wasn’t part of the official recall

    2022.20.8

That’s how one would suppose SW should be versioned (or add another . for bug fixes) but it’s certainly not the case with Tesla. For example, 2022.20.7 added a new, more complex, range estimation algorithm over .6 per @greentheonly

Model 3 12v Battery issues, monitoring, Aftermarket replacement

In general, (at the same capacity,) lead acid batteries have a lower internal resistance than lithium ion batteries.

    80 MPH limit unacceptable

Everyone should research what happens on the autobahn. Hint: its per-mile fatality rate is less than half of US interstates. http://www.bast.de/EN/Publications/Media/Unfallkarten-international-englisch.pdf?__blob=publicationFile The common mistake here is to assume travel speed (and speed...

    FSD Beta Revocation

FSD beta 10.5 is absolutely horrible and unusable in the day too if the 2-lane road has any curves. Turning off FSD beta improves it significantly, but still way worse than radar+vision

Significant ride comfort in MYP Performance with 19" Gemini wheels/ higher profile tires

It will ride better, but it won’t match the LR. The performance suspension is stiffer and rides 0.6” lower than the LR

    Vision Only Limitations

Exactly like driving to 95 in normal cars. If autosteer is on AND you exceed the limit, you’ll get locked out of autosteer for the remaining of the drive. P.S. it’s not just the obvious limitations of 80mph and follow distance of 2. The overall autopilot performance on my vision-only Model Y...

    Vision Only Limitations

It locks you out of autopilot. Similar to 90mph in vision+radar cars. Very annoying.

    FSD Timeline Promises (summary)

They are not all mediocre. Some are pretty decent. For all-around driving, Tesla's L2 system is IMHO currently the best. For geofenced highways, not so much. But only one auto company, Tesla, sells an L2 system with the unsubstantiated promise of L5 in a few weeks to a few years. Something...

    2020 Model XL rear-ended

The smoke / dust was almost certainly from seatbelt pretensioners. While deploying airbags may have been a losing proposition in this impact (whiplash reduction vs. inherent dangers), pretensioners would have been a no brainer. Also, the survival space for the third row, if there had been...

    Are Service Centers Competent?

Yes, like this brilliant piece of homedepot engineering: https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/found-this-little-gem-on-my-55k-model-y.205922
