Firmware update added noises when changing gears, dont like it!

Check the last couple of ‘update notes’, I too was annoyed until I found that you could turn them off. A thousand miles from my Tesla, or I’d look it up for you.

Holiday update? what can we expect?

    CarPlay won't. Apple Music may.

    Rear ended

The interesting thing is apparently the other insurance company is refusing to make whole. I'm not in the middle, thankfully, but it's entirely possible that the vehicle's insurance had expired. Certainly the documentation shown to me was about 4 months past valid. However, my insurance company...

    Rear ended

Seems odd. My model 3 was rear ended in Irvine a couple of weeks ago, with substantially more damage. Contacted Farmers, provided all the details, they set up a repair for me (waiting on parts right now) and are going after the insurance company of the guy who ran into me. Subrogation, they...

A system reboot occurred while driving

I've had it happen a couple of times while driving on the highway. Submitted diagnostics, and was told it was an issue with the USB thumb drive I was using. Changed to a Tesla USB stick, and haven't had a reboot since. That being said, I'm not 100% convinced there's a real correlation, but...

Can't Send Text With Voice Commands

Interesting to run across this thread…I’ve had, on occasion, the issue where the system has been unable to reach the cloud to do processing, but it’s always resolved itself, given time or forward motion (different cell tower?). The challenge I have, perhaps due to a middle American accent, is...

    Wireless Charger

No wireless charger will work with an EMF case. That's what EMF is, Electro-Magnetic Frequency, which is how a wireless charge connects. If you're blocking all EMF, then nothing will get through to create the necessary charging process.

Tesla App: Choose WHICH garage to open?

My experience on an M3 is it is the last used Homelink signal. I have three programmed, and used in last week, it triggered the last one I had used.

    Tesmat order problem

I concur. I love the product, which I received on Monday, but since the shipping expectation changed after I had ordered, and I wasn’t visiting your website to check, some sort of communication would have been appropriate. It’s fine to highlight the expected shipping date when the product is...

    Tesmat order problem

Received mine yesterday. Very impressed, very much like the mattress I sleep on when camping. Looking forward to spending a night on it in the Tesla. I’m unwilling to hold this guy responsible for the delays, having worked with other small companies who are beholden on their suppliers, often...

How to get Sirius/XM in a Tesla

Your point is ‘so far, they’ve only made a million vehicles’. I made no claim of time in my statement. The simple fact is, if there is an expense that is unnecessary in a vehicle that sells in large numbers, it need not be included in all built, especially if it can be added later. One wonders...

Safety Recall? Backup Camera Randomly Stop Working

The car also has both a rear view mirror, and drivers/passenger side mirrors, so you’re not solely dependent on the back up camera. I dare say people have been using these devices for quite a long time in order to back up, long before the back up camera first appeared in a car.

Model 3s getting the Chrome Delete Treatment?

Tesla offering chrome delete for M3? Model 3 Factory Chrome Delete coming soon!

How to get Sirius/XM in a Tesla

Yes, and is the same reason that Homelink is now an additional option. It is enough of an expense when multiplied across millions of vehicles.

When Phone Not Recognized, Where is the Failure?

I’m pretty sure that door unlock is in the BLE stack, and not the normal Bluetooth stack.
