Thanks for the info / reply - all very very interesting! If all goes to plan, will pull trigger and order a MX towards end of the year, and I do about 18,000 miles a year, so would have opted for the 20,000 miles PCP. This saves me about £100 a month and thus £4800 over the 4 years on PCP...

So the excess miles you incur, do you pay them from the residual value at the end when you hand the car back?

When they arrive in Europe, what is the final assembly work that takes place, as simple as putting on a few stickers, or do they arrive minus doors that need to be fitted - jsut interested to know.

Would it matter / do insurers allow - you to say you will pay for your own hire car IF NEEDED - and thus bring down premium? I would hope never to need it, but can get a (admittedly) low spec ICE car to hire for not much money, so if it ran into weeks or months waiting for parts it would not be...

Well typing this in Sunny Orlando on holiday, but when I get back I have a confirmed booking for a test drive in Edinburgh of a MX on Sunday 25th Sept, left hand drive model. Also got an email about a 15% price rise in few weeks :-(

Edinburgh called me for a chat, told me their test drive X is due around the 22nd of this month.

The Edinburgh store just called me for a chat - and hope to have an X in for test drives from the 22nd of this month - TBC but he sounded quite confident
