    Steering Rack Kicking Noise

Thanx a lot. The bolts were changed 2 years ago under the recall. I’ve never tested the steering rack in this way before and after the replacement of the bolts. Just tried to clean a leather on the steering wheel few days ago and came this sound. So it is important to understand whether it’s...

    Steering Rack Kicking Noise

Thank you very much! The car is still under the warranty. What makes me concerned, that this kicking noise was easily reproduced on several Model X vehicles (four of them). Each tested Model X 2016-2017 had this kicking noise. Is it a coincidence or this is the old steering rack engineering...

    TMX Front Driveshaft Noise

Definitely. In my case, the noise was solved, but came back right after 300 miles. I heard the same noise on Model Y (2022) while the one had been parking. Made an appointment and gonna have them replaced again.

    90% went from 504km to 485km overnight

Well, you can’t test in that way. It’s incorrect. You can only test EPA range by driving the car from fully charge state down to 1-2%. Otherwise, the car should be connected to the toolbox.

Alignment is perfect! The one is carried out each six month or 5k miles whichever comes first, ‘cause all season tires are fitted. So far has been covered 42k miles on this set of tires . Tires tread depths is even and the residual is 7/32.

    Human Noise at 56mph

Hi! There is a kind of humming noise in the rear engine at a speed of 56mph while an accelerator is engaged only. When the one is disengaged, the humming noise disappears. Tested by officials in different places: 1. In the first place technicians tested a rear drive unit. The result: the one is...

How long should I keep my 2016 model X?

I would make battery and drivetrain inspection at a third party first. This will give assurance whether there are some preventive actions to be taken: like drivetrain seal and so on. If there are any findings based on inspection would report to Tesla to fix them. Otherwise, if a range isn't...

    I retrofit MCU2, IC2, Tuner2, and FSD Computer into my HW2.0 Car

Have been carrying out assessment. Should be possible without any Frankensteinment. The idea is to simplify the process: 1. Upgrade to AP2.0 2. Get approval from Tesla 3. Upgrade to AP3.0

    I retrofit MCU2, IC2, Tuner2, and FSD Computer into my HW2.0 Car

Very much appreciated! This is really valuable information. Based on this information upgrade from AP1 to AP3 on Model X is possible, considering the fact MCU2 is already installed! Only left to sort out the question regarding software with Tesla.
