DC - DC converter / AC compressor repair

Hey, sorry, I got it done twice in the SC. For sure it is behind the large display unit. I suspect that since they were working on it for this issue and the passenger airbag replacement (as per bulletin) my display has started leaking and air-bubbles have appeared.

DC - DC converter / AC compressor repair

Hey I hope this may give you another area to look at: TESLA THERMAL CONTROLLER WITH LABEL (1034215-00-A) I did the repair work on my DC/DC converter, which did not get the A/C to work, then at teh SC took them 8 hours of diagnostic work to identify it was the part above. Then two weeks later...

DC - DC converter / AC compressor repair

This is the full name of part that got replaced, per invoice: TESLA THERMAL CONTROLLER WITH LABEL (1034215-00-A) Beyond that I did not ask for any further explanation, while thinking about it now, I should get the old Thermal Controller to play around with it. Here is the part in the catalog...

DC - DC converter / AC compressor repair

Finally, got my car back with working A/C for now! :) ;) For testing purposes SC installed all new parts (A/C compressor, A/C temp. control unit behind the touch screen and DC/DC converter) and started replacing the parts one by one with my original once. So, after 8 hours of diagnostics at...

DC - DC converter / AC compressor repair

Good day all, I am back at my local Tesla Service Center to check on the persisting A/C issue after we replaced the bad fuse in the DC/DC converter. Possibly news for some of you, Tesla has released a bulletin for the repair of DC/DC converter (two weeks ago), allowing the SC to refurbish the...

DC - DC converter / AC compressor repair

Update! :) While driving now on the highway to the airport and having the A/C on, regardless it wasn’t working, suddenly the compressor kicked in and we are back in business. You can imagine how many questions are now coming up in our heads! Any thoughts?

DC - DC converter / AC compressor repair

Thanks, I probably have right fuse, but in the wrong physical dimensions. Do you know them? We did not want to touch them as they were perfectly fine. Could it be also an issue with A/C compressor, which they want to replace together with DC/DC converter for so much money?

DC - DC converter / AC compressor repair

they both were good! But their size is not exactly what I have seen in the forums on this topic, as I order what I saw around here and they came quite different. Anyway, for sure will do.

DC - DC converter / AC compressor repair

Hi all, Finally yesterday got around to fix my DC/DC converter/fuse issue, for sure the fuse was the issue, replaced both big once. Quite straightforward process as all have stated, even got inside the DC/DC converter quite easy and fast. I think because we were two, used small screwdriver to...

DC - DC converter / AC compressor repair

Thanks a lot @braoudap and @Gixx1300R, for sure would reach-out for further pointers. BTW when my car was delivered five years back the A/C came empty without any refrigerant and it took me more than a month for Tesla to solve this issue. I just hope that my SC is not playing games again by...

DC - DC converter / AC compressor repair

Hi all, I have planned my fuse replacement exercise for mid June as I am on the road a bit until then and also getting my buddy to join me for moral and electrical support. :) Driving the car should not be an issue until then right? Two questions: @Gixx1300R, how did you get the A/C coolant...

DC - DC converter / AC compressor repair

Hi all, I know that it has been some time now since this discussion, but this issue has come around to bother me as well. Just eight months after my warranty expired on my Model S P85 the A/C stopped cooling after my 12V battery got replaced in January this year. I got today the verdict that...

Hi All, I need to travel to the Service Center in Vienna, Austria from Sofia, Bulgaria at the beginning of next month. It would be great if anyone can suggest possible charging points in Belgrade, 3 phase is preferred. Here in Sofia we have 3 phase charging at all of our shopping malls...
