    HV Battery replacement

Oh the joys of being an early adapter.... but I'm feeling lucky as my Tesla 2014 S with 85k miles, died in the driveway after I got a "needs service" and "car may not restart" alert while I was dropping the wife off at the airport. Car was towed to the the nearest service station(4 hours away)...

Shut down with supercharger in sight

Earlier this month I was road tripping and was just 3 miles from the supercharger when the car shut down with only a few seconds of warning. Navigation said I would arrive with 10% battery at the SC and it said I had 27 miles of range when it died. While waiting for the tow truck the range...

    Tesla in Alaska

That is true in general terms... I bought a CPO and picked it up in N.J. just to avoid the sales tax that I would have been charged had I picked it up in Boston(my first choice). I bought a Volt last year in Seattle and they have an agreement with Alaska where I was not charged sales tax. CPO...

    Supercharger - Poncha Springs, CO

Thanks for the progress update. I'm headed up to Crested Butte for Thanksgiving and heading home to Albuquerque on Sunday.... keeping my fingers crossed that it might get completed by then... otherwise it's a few hours in Alamosa on a level 2.

Albany, NY to Boston, MA - How much battery usage?

It looks to be a 165 mile trip. A good rule of thumb I read in this forum is add 20% and 20 miles. In this case it would be 165 + 33 + 20 = 218 miles of rated range consumption... if that is such a thing. This is a simple rule of thumb...to cover things like rain, head winds, & speeding. Now...

It was back in 2002, I bought a car in TN, registered it in AK and drove it north. I did not pay sales tax.

Out of state CPO owners who bought in New Jersey

No, I want to register the car in AK and drive it back to AK... slowly. It really depends on the state, I've done it in WA and TN, and I know that that is a no go in many states....like CA and MA.

Out of state CPO owners who bought in New Jersey

Well I hope NJ DMV is willing to play because my CPO advisor said it should work out... I'm picking the car up in Paramus, NJ and will be registering it in Alaska where I live... Both states have no sale taxes on Tesla's
