    Air fresheners for Model 3

I’ve been using these for years. They’re pretty cheap and last for months. They can be overpowering, so don’t open them fully. You can usually find them at auto shops, gas stations, drug stores, and (of course) amazon. California Car Scents | California Scents

    Cost to reserve $6,800?

Thanks, guys. I thought it was odd too.

    Cost to reserve $6,800?

Question for anyone who’s purchased recently. A friend of mine just visited a showroom for a test drive. He was told that to reserve a Model 3, he’d need to put down the $2,500 reservation, then another $4,300 as a pickup fee (which was not a part of the down payment) upon delivery. I didn’t...

Phone and Keycard Locked in Car

If there was one, it would be safe and sound in the purse...which is locked in the car. ;)

Bluetooth transmitter than works with Model 3

Got it. I bought the LeFun T10 about a year ago, and played with a different one as well. It’s an FM one, but honestly, the FM broadcast isn’t that bad - especially considering the alternative of not having music at all. There is static occasionally, but that can usually be remediate by trying a...

Bluetooth transmitter than works with Model 3

Search amazon for “Bluetooth car adapter” and see if any of those fit your needs. But to be clear on your needs, are you saying you have a device (music player, I’m guessing) which doesn’t have Bluetooth, that you’d like to play through your car? If so, there are some that are powered through...

Tesla backing away from "Phone Key as primary key"

Maybe I just have a lower stress threshold than most and don’t let small things like that get to me. Idk. Point taken on the shopping loads. I’ll even give you the use case where you have to put a small child in the car while holding an umbrella. But again, these aren’t every day activities for...

Tesla backing away from "Phone Key as primary key"

The primary reason is because it works most of the time. When it does fail, I try again, bang it on my leg, or take the tiny key out and go about my business. It’s not a hassle. Maybe a 20 second delay. Plus, the dealership will charge $150 or so per fob (plus whatever they quote me to fix the...

Tesla backing away from "Phone Key as primary key"

I’ve tested mine, and it worked through my wallet. Maybe I’m special. Look, I get the inconvenience of having something that should work 100% of the time, but doesn’t. I really do. Those who are having issues aren’t wrong for being annoyed when it doesn’t work. That’s a legitimate concern. My...

Tesla backing away from "Phone Key as primary key"

Isn’t that what the key card is, only shaped differently?

Tesla backing away from "Phone Key as primary key"

One could argue the same for those having phone key issues. If we have a number of people reporting few to no issues, that would imply that the design is not the issue.

Tesla backing away from "Phone Key as primary key"

It is. A phone key that has worked 99% of the time is a big improvement over one that I have to coax every now and then.

Tesla backing away from "Phone Key as primary key"

Precisely. There are a number of potential failure points. For at least 90% of the people here, those failure points aren’t a major inhibitor for functionality. Personally, my experience has been 99% positive.

Tesla backing away from "Phone Key as primary key"

We accept tech to not be flawless because it is dependent upon so many other factors which are beyond our control. In the case of going to a website, for example, the only thing the user controls is the keystroke they type into the address bar. After that, my internet service provider may be...

Tesla backing away from "Phone Key as primary key"

Yeah, I’m lying. That’s it. Because I have everything to gain right? I’m 10-15 feet away from my Infiniti right now, it just took me 3 clicks before the door locked. Want me to video it for you? I’m not delusional at all. I know updates break things. I’ve been working in infosec for almost 2...
